September 20, 2016: In his final address to the UN General Assembly, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed his regret for sexual abuse committed by UN peacekeepers and for the UN's role in the outbreak of cholera in Haiti.  "Protectors must never become predators," he said of, "the despicable acts of sexual exploitation and abuse committed by UN peacekeepers."
