October 13, 2016: The Code Blue Campaign is advocating for a new, independent system of special courts to deal with sexual abuse by UN peacekeeping personnel. This solution will provide impartial justice for victims, the accused, and the battered populations who currently have no real recourse to justice.
On May 13, 2015, AIDS-Free World launched the Code Blue campaign. AIDS-Free World co-directors Paula Donovan and Stephen Lewis were joined by international experts Ms. Graca Machel, L.Gen. Romeo Dallaire, Ms. Theo Sowa, and Ambassador Anwarul Chowdhury in calling for an end to immunity for sexual exploitation and abuse by UN peacekeepers.
