A/71/818: Special Measures report on protection from sexual exploitation and abuse
This year's Special Measures report on protection from sexual exploitation and abuse was repurposed to include the Secretary-General's Task force on the UN response to sexual exploitation and abuse. The "new approach" focuses on four main areas of action: putting victims first; ending impunity; engaging civil society and external partners; and improving strategic communications for education and transparency." The report also includes data on allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse across the UN system, including by non-UN international forces authorized by a Security Council mandate, from 1 January to 31 December 2016. Read the report (A/71/818) and the Addendum (A/71/818/Add.1).
