July 26, 2017: Read Code Blue’s written submission to the External Independent Review Panal on the UN’s handling of sexual abuse allegations in the Central African Republic.
June 23, 2015: Today, Ban Ki-moon announced the members of an External Independent Review Panel that will look into the UN's handling of allegations of child sexual abuse in the Central African Republic. AIDS-Free World's Code Blue Campaign brought the allegations to The Guardian newspaper in April 2015, published additional leaked documents that garnered global attention in May 2015 and called for the panel's creation.
June 16, 2015: Code Blue reacts to the report of the High-Level Independent Panel on Peace Operations.
June 3, 2015: Code Blue statement in response to the creation of an External Independent Review panel to look into the UN's handling of child sexual abuse allegations in CAR.
May 29, 2015: AIDS-Free World has obtained several previously unreleased internal UN documents, memos, and emails that implicate high-level United Nations officials in ignoring documented child sex abuse by international peacekeepers in the Central African Republic (CAR), of making no attempt to stop the ongoing crimes or protect children, and then attempting to cover up the UN’s inaction.
